Description
Las Choyas Geodes are also known as Mexican Coconuts. These geological wonders are found in a two square mile area in Chihuahua, Mexico. They developed in pockets 100 to 200 feet below the Earth’s surface.
This is a “Chocolate Coconut” that is filled with pillows of smokey quartz with some light patches of a thin calcite. This piece measures 3.5”x3.25”x1.75” and weighs 7.2 ounces.
This specimen was cut and polished in our lapidary workshop.
